About Sigma Nu — Beta Theta Chapter at Auburn University
Founded in 1890, the Beta Theta Chapter of Sigma Nu has been part of Auburn University’s Greek community for more than 130 years. Rooted in the values of Love, Honor, and Truth, our chapter has provided a place for young men to grow through brotherhood, leadership, and lasting friendships.
Over the years, Beta Theta has built a strong tradition on campus while continuing to look forward. Alumni and active members work together to support the chapter and maintain a house that serves as both a home and a gathering place for brothers, past and present.
Our members are active across campus and in the community, taking on leadership roles in student organizations and giving back through service projects. A recent example includes traveling to Selma, Alabama to help with cleanup efforts in the community. For us, service and leadership go hand in hand with being part of Auburn.
Sigma Nu has always been an active part of Auburn’s social scene. From hosting mixers and formals to participating in campus events and sorority philanthropies, our chapter makes it a priority to stay connected and involved. Brothers enjoy a full calendar of events throughout the year that strengthen friendships and build lasting memories.
In addition to our social and service work, Beta Theta has been recognized with the Rock Chapter Award — Sigma Nu’s highest chapter distinction — for five consecutive cycles, reflecting consistent excellence across operations, leadership, academics, and fraternity standards.
Today, the chapter continues to grow with new pledge classes and an engaged brotherhood that carries on our legacy. We’re proud of our history and committed to preparing men who will live out the values of Sigma Nu well beyond their years at Auburn.
